Small Group Discipleship and Fellowship

A growth group is a great opportunity to establish close relationships and a caring fellowship among members of Christ’s church and with those who are interested in learning about Christ for the first time. It provides a way of discipling one another in His love as we share in His word and pray together, bear one another’s burdens, learn to articulate the gospel to those in need of Christ, and encourage one another in particular areas of spiritual growth and practical ministry.

Growth groups should never be ingrown huddles or simply Bible studies with no immediate application. Rather, our goal is to learn Christ in such a way that we reach out to others, becoming contagious with the gospel! Through a network of small groups with a common Biblical purpose, we look to the Spirit of Christ to create avenues for others to come to know Him and grow in Him as we spread His truth and love to believers and unbeliever alike. Further, it involves being accountable as members of Christ’s body in such a way to help everyone mature as loving and fruitful servants according to the way God has gifted each of us!

Some growth groups will also be designed to provide opportunity for moms and dads who desire their children to participate with them during portions of the meeting. In these groups, childcare will be worked out among the participants. Overall, as this ministry develops, we want young and old, couples and singles, to increasingly benefit from a strong sense of community that is centered around the gospel!
