Small groups for women
WHAT IS IT?
Titus 2:1, 3-5 gives us the command to:
Teach what accords with sound doctrine,
To be reverent in behavior,
Not slanderers or slaves to much wine,
To teach what is good and so train the young women to:
Love their husbands and children.
To be self controlled, pure, workers at home, kind and
Submissive to their own husbands
SO THAT
The word of God will not be reviled.
This ministry will be made up of small group topical studies designed to build relationships with godly older women and to teach what God’s word teaches about being a godly woman. These are called biblical principles of womanhood and the leaders have been studying this material in the Titus 2 Sunday School Class. The plan is for each group to meet once a month at a time to be determined by each leader.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE?
- This is a spiritual mothering ministry to help women establish covenant relationships with godly older women who will come alongside them to encourage and equip them to live for God’s glory.
- Our purpose is to teach women sound doctrine and principles of studying God’s word and applying these teachings to our daily life as we seek to glorify God in our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces and in the world.
WHY DO I NEED IT?
- This is a vital ministry in which you will learn what it means to live as a godly woman in today’s world. Biblical womanhood is countercultural and counter intuitive. We need to be immersed in what scripture teaches about how we glorify God with our lives. We will be encouraged and equipped by women trained in the Foundations of Biblical Womanhood and we will begin to develop meaningful relationships with other women. This is an opportunity to be encouraged in life changing attitudes and behavior.
